卵巢透明亮細胞癌（OCCC）具高度抗藥性，晚期預後極差，III/IV期存活率僅 30% 與 0%。半數OCCC患者具 ARID1A 基因突變 (ARID1A-mut)，對現有標靶療法較為敏感，其餘保留 ARID1A 野生型 (ARID1A-wt) 的病例則缺乏有效標靶，因此急需新藥開發。
乳癌長年為臺灣及多數已開發國家女性發生率最高的癌症，且在近年呈現好發年齡逐漸年輕化的趨勢。中央研究院基因體研究中心特聘研究員陳建仁院士領軍，結合國家衛生研究院及國內多所大學研究團隊，完成一項歷時20年的大規模關於乳癌風險評估的人群研究，研究成果已於2026年3月發佈於《美國國家科學院院刊》（Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, PNAS）。
