Dr. Chi-Huey Wong awarded the Israel Chemical Society International Barry Cohen Award and the Federation of Asian Chemical Societies (FACS) Foundation Lectureship Award

Dr. Chi-Huey Wong received this year's Israel Chemical Society International Barry Cohen Award and Federation of Asian Chemical Societies (FACS) Foundation Lectureship Award to honor his contributions to glycoscience, especially his pioneering work on elucidating the role of glycosylation in health and disease.

He received the Federation of Asian Chemical Societies (FACS) Foundation Lectureship Award and gave a keynote speech on July 9 in Istanbul at the 19th Asian Chemical Congress. He will receive the Israel Chemical Society International Barry Cohen Award and give a lecture on July 20 in Israel at the Annual Meeting of the Israel Chemical Society held at the Weizmann Institute of Science.

This year in June, he was invited to attend the Tetrahedron Symposium in Gothenberg, Sweden and gave a lecture. He will also be awarded the Tetrahedron Prize for Creativity in Organic Chemistry at the Tetrahedron Prize Symposium in the American Chemical Society Fall Meeting in San Francisco on 8/16 and give a lecture. The winner of Tetrahedron Prize for Creativity in Organic Chemistry was announced last year and the prize will be awarded in the above mentioned event this year.
