Synthesis of oligosaccharide and development of sugar array.

More than 50% of human proteins are glycosylated. Glycomics has emerged with proteomics as an area for development and exploration in the postgenomic era. In comparison with genomics and proteomics, there are two major problems to defer the development of this field. The first is non automated synthesis of oligosaccharides platform exit. Second is needed to develop a more rapid method in glycoprotein sequencing, developing analytical and biochemical tools and biological readouts to investigate glycan structure-function relationships.
We focus on the development of novel and efficient methodologies to prepare biologically potent oligosaccharides and design the new type sugar array to address the bio-function of oligosaccharides.
