Listed under the Cell Biology category, an article “Following new instructions” mentioned how a cellular protein can switch off genes and thus promote lung cancer growth. Under the Immunology & Therapeutics category, the article “Fighting the flu virus” described how the GRC team utilized the ultra high-throughput System and screened over 1.2 million chemicals to identify unique compounds that can prevent the influenza virus from reproducing. The team is led by Dr. Chi-Huey Wong, Dr. Yih-Shyun E. Cheng, Dr. Ting-Jen R. In the article “Building a better booster” in the same category, it reported a modified version of the α-GalCer adjuvants that proved to be an added-plus when administered with vaccines for auto-immune diseases.
